2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the Hindu Intellectual mobile app and app-specific pages hosted under /app/ on our website, including account deletion and support pages. The main website may have additional policies for website-only features.

Important: Voluntary support is optional. It does not unlock app features, premium content, badges, points, rankings, account benefits, or any digital benefit in the app. We do not represent voluntary support as a tax-deductible charity/NGO contribution.

- To create and secure your account.
- To send OTPs for email verification and password recovery.
- To save jap counts, sankalps, daily logs, and game scores.
- To prevent duplicate count syncing and detect suspicious/abusive counter activity.
- To show leaderboards, reserve journey, and activity summaries. If anonymous mode is enabled, public views show you as Gupt Sadhak.
- To provide articles, stories, library content, and search results.
- To respond to support, account deletion, privacy, or optional-support-related requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of the service.
6. Storage and security
- Passwords are stored as password hashes, not plain text.
- Mobile login tokens are stored in secure storage on your device and as hashed tokens on our server.
- The app uses local SQLite storage for offline counter queueing so your counts are not lost when network is unavailable.
- We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet-connected service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
7. Data retention
We keep account and practice data while your account is active. Authentication tokens may expire automatically. OTP records may be retained for security/rate-limit records. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, dispute, or compliance purposes.
If you request account deletion, we will process it through our account deletion page and remove or anonymize eligible app account data, subject to verification and legal/security retention needs.
8. Your choices and rights
- You can use anonymous mode to hide your name from public reserve/leaderboard views.
- You can disable app notifications from device settings or app reminder settings.
- You can request account/data deletion at /app/account-deletion.php.
- You can contact us to access, correct, update, or ask questions about your data.
9. Children and age audience
The app is intended for general spiritual and educational users aged 13 and above. It is not designed specifically for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will review it.
